“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

[Matthew 22: 37-40]

Greetings Morgan Church of the Nazarene!

I want you all to know that God is at work and doing some great things!  I don't have the space here to tell the story, but know this, when people pray, and people listen, we get to participate in and witness God's work in this world. Let's keep praying, let's keep listening. God answers our prayers, and God invites us to be the answer to the prayers of others. When God says "go," we go in the name of Jesus. Our text for this Sunday is from Acts 8 when God tells Philip to "go this way," and Philip goes without question. Another man needs someone to lead the way, and God gives him Philip (who was in the right place at the right time). God still works in the same way today - so let us keep praying, listening, and responding in obedience when we hear the voice of the Lord.

We had our Annual Election this past Sunday. Thank you to all who participated. As a Church of the Nazarene, there are bylaws that we are required to follow, such as only "Members" can vote, and only "Members" can be elected for certain positions. Of those who were eligible to vote we had 27 ballots cast. Our Sunday attendance has grown over the past few years, but our membership list has not matched. If you are interested in learning more about what it means to be an official member, please reach out to me and we can talk about that. As our church grows and new people get involved, I would love for everyone to be able to participate in electing those who serve in leadership as well as the opportunity to serve in those positions themselves.  (Election Results at bottom of this email)

This Sunday is Family Sunday and Caravan Award Ceremony Sunday. We will still be in the book of Acts seeing how God was at work in the early church.

Partnering In Prayer (from the Prayer Journal)

“Lord, you know what we are facing today. Please be our strength, our shield, and our comfort. And Lord, you know someone else is dealing with the heavy pressures of life today to whom we might bring your comfort and presence. Show us who they are. Send us to them with your love and compassion. Amen."
